If you ever get tired of the vibrant city life or crave pristine beaches, an island escape is the way to go. There are some beautiful islands in the ocean around Pattaya. Easy to reach, they make for the perfect day trip. You can also extend the journey to one or two nights. Info: There is no standardized romanization of the Thai language. That’s why you will often find different spellings for sights and islands on the internet. However, they all refer to the same destination. Here are our three favorites in the Gulf of Thailand:

Ko Lan:

Also called Koh Larn or Coral Island, a small island that can be reached in around 30 minutes from Bali Hai Pier at Pattaya Beach. It offers picturesque beaches with coral reefs and dense jungles inhabited by monkeys with great viewpoints. The two main beaches, Tawaen Beach and Samae Beach, offer numerous opportunities for water sports and relaxed resorts. Your trip to the paradisiacal island is best done during the week, since it’s popular with local tourists on the weekend. In the mornings and evenings you can relax on the less crowded beaches, such as Nual Beach and Tien Beach.

Ko Khram Yai & Ko Samae San:

Two islands located further south in the Gulf of Thailand. Under nature conservation by the Thai navy and are therefore uninhabited. It is not possible to travel there privately. A one-day trip organized by a tour operator in Pattaya is a good option. There is enough time to see all the beautiful places on the islands. Both promise picturesque views, white-sand beaches, and turquoise crystal clear waters. You can enjoy a range of activities on the islands, including swimming, snorkeling, and fishing. Overall, Khram Yai and Samae San islands are must-visit destinations if you’re looking to escape the hustle and bustle of Pattaya City. After an exhausting session in one of our Muay Thai training camps, enjoy a well-deserved day of relaxation and adventure in a stunning natural setting.
