Nopadon Darouphan February 14, 1994 (age 28) Ubon Ratchathani, Northeast of Thailand
ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Petchmorakot Petchyindee has defeated some of the biggest names in Muay Thai, such as the legendary Saenchai, claiming multiple Muay Thai World Championships in the process.
Hailing from Ubon Ratchathani in Thailand’s northern Isan region, Petchmorakot grew up in extreme poverty and was forced to scavenge for food to survive. Driven to change his family’s fortunes, he began training in Muay Thai at 9 years old, and won his first bout after just a few weeks of training. Spurred by his success and proven talent, Petchmorakot competed as often as he could across the region, but soon ran out of opponents. Luckily, he was scouted by the famed Petchyindee Academy, and he moved to Bangkok in 2012 to train and compete at the highest levels of the sport.
Although adapting to life in the big city was difficult, it proved to be one of the best decisions he ever made. Petchmorakot went on to claim Lumpinee Stadium World Championships in two divisions, as well as a WMC Muay Thai World Title, in a career spanning almost 200 professional bouts. After making it to the global stage of ONE Championship, Petchmorakot became a superstar, putting on several incredible performances on the way to claiming the inaugural ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Title.
